Florida State University junior Dana Sardina isn’t sure which path her career will take after graduating, but she's certain it will involve her love for reading and storytelling.

Sardina’s enthusiasm for writing resulted in her being named the first recipient of the Gerald Ensley Emerging Journalist Award, a scholarship named in honor of the late Tallahassee Democrat columnist who died in February of 2018 at age 66.
