Education B.S. ’02 Title Ex-Officio, FSU Alumni Association National Board of Directors Chair Tony Lee, Ed.D., is assistant vice chancellor of public policy and advocacy with the State University System of Florida. Lee works with the Legislature, executive staff and Board of Governors colleagues to develop, evaluate and analyze legislative bills and amendments. He also supports public affairs and collaborates with government relations offices at Florida’s 12 universities to better understand how policies and funding will affect their institutions. Previously, Lee spent more than 20 years in higher education and nonprofit development, building public and private partnerships and raising millions of dollars for institutions including Florida Atlantic University, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida State University, Radford University and ZooTampa. Lee is a champion for alumni engagement, student success and postsecondary education through community service and volunteerism. He earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Florida State University, a master’s in communication from Florida International University and an Ed.D. in applied learning sciences from the University of Miami. Lee was a presidential appointee to the board and plans to use his experience to assist the Alumni Association and Florida State University with engagement and member development.
