Greg Michaud is head of real estate finance at Voya Investment Management, responsible for the oversight of sourcing, underwriting, asset, and portfolio management for the commercial real estate loan platform. The real estate finance team, comprised of 60 professionals, manages $16 billion, comprised of third-party capital from 29 separate managed accounts, including domestic insurance companies, banks, and pension funds, as well as an open-ended debt fund with $1.2 billion of equity. Additionally, Michaud serves on the executive leadership team, the U.S. Credit Committee, and chairs the CMBS Steering Committee. Prior to joining the firm as a real analyst, Michaud was a real estate appraiser focused on commercial properties and eminent domain cases in the Southeastern U.S. Michaud is an active member of several distinguished real estate industry groups, including the Urban Land Institute (Urban Development Mixed Use Blue Flight), Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (chairmen emeritus and awarded the Founders Award in 2017), Mortgage Bankers Association (COMBOG board member) and The National Association of Real Estate Investment Managers. Additionally, he serves on the Florida State University College of Business Real Estate Advisory Board and the SMIF Industry Advisor Board at Kennesaw State University. Michaud earned an Executive MBA from the University of Georgia, an MBA in finance from Kennesaw State University, a B.S. in Real Estate from Florida State University, and a Certificate in Ancient and Classical Studies from AMU.

Michaud is an Eagle Scout, longtime scoutmaster for Troop 297 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Marietta, Georgia, and a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. In support of the Real Estate Center, he created the Michaud Endowment for Real Estate Excellence, received the Real Estate Center Network Award in 2013, and was named a “Jennings Speaker” in 2011 in connection with the Evan D. Jennings Executive Speaker Series in Real Estate.
