Robert “Bob” Johnson is a senior executive with Stifel Financial, a leading publicly traded financial services firm. Johnson is responsible for Stifel’s businesses in the southwestern United States, overseeing 250 professionals managing over $30 billion.

From 1983 to 2018, Johnson worked at Merrill Lynch, where he ran various businesses, including wealth management offices, private banking regions, middle market — including debt and equity — and Latin American ultra-high net worth businesses.

Johnson has spent five decades working on Wall Street, but his passion is starting new entrepreneurial ventures. In 1985, he was part of the initial capital that started Office Depot and, 12 years later, Texas Roadhouse. Since then, Johnson has provided capital and guidance to many startup organizations. He has been involved in funding companies such as Wefox, Sight Diagnostics, Ripple Foods, PandaDoc and Priority Power.

Johnson graduated with a degree in real estate from Florida State, where he met his wife. They currently reside in Dallas, Texas, but split their time between Vail, Colorado, and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. They have two adult children, Bobby and Olivia. In addition to the family’s many philanthropic interests, their hobbies include skiing, physical fitness and all things Florida State.
